Travel Day Moncton to Rimouski
From Moncton we drove north along the Acadian Coastal Drive. Try pronouncing some of the community names along the way like Richibucto and Bouctouche. The bays here are very picturesque.
We stopped into the visitor’s centre at Kouchibouguac Nat’l Park. Pronounced: Kou-she-boo-gwack! We drove through the park but didn’t stop for any sights or hikes.

This area is about 50/50 evergreen and deciduous trees with rolling hills.
Nice drive! One of the industries in the area is Peat Moss. Stacks of wrapped Peat Moss!
Lobster boat
A lot of the houses are flying the Acadian Flag and decked
out in their colours. Many houses have
the Star design on their house, which is also on their flag.
Miramichi – Canada’s Irish
Capital
The rains started as we were leaving New Brunswick and heading into
Quebec. We should have stopped for gas
in Campbellton but stopped in Quebec in a little town. The price of fuel jumped and getting into the
small gas station was fun. But at least
we were able to buy coffee for $1 from a Kurig machine. Missed a great photo of a Sunflower
field! The rains and fog rolled in and
it was hard to see much of anything. We
stopped in Rimouski for the night.
