Gros Morne Nat’l Park to Doyles, NL
It was a little cool in the morning leaving Gros Morne but the sun was out. When we came in it was raining and foggy so we didn’t see this beautiful pond and other gorgeous views along this route. We saw a beautiful black fox at the side of the road but I wasn’t fast enough with the camera.
Driving through Deer Lake in the Humber Valley you drive by a large power generating station. With all the fog I couldn’t see what it was the first time through. There is a lot of logging and salmon fishing in the area. We drove through Corner Brook and up along the Humber River which is one of the greatest salmon rivers.

We decided to stay at the campsite in Doyles so we were closer to the ferry
in the morning about a ½ hour drive. It
got very got in the afternoon. We stayed
and read and enjoyed the sunshine while Marg & John drove into Port aux
Basques to check on the ferry situation.
We had heard there were ferry delays due to the accident Wednesday
morning. We have a reservation so we are
on the 1 pm sailing. Met some wonderful
Newfoundlanders that were camping next to us.
Our old RV is parked
next to us!
