Drive around P. E. I.
Driving from Cornwall to Summerside is the Red Sands Shore drive that has a view of the Confederation Bridge, quite impressive! We headed into Summerside and drove around the main street and the old historic buildings. At the west end of town is Linkletter and Linkletter Prov. Park. You remember Art Linkletter!! Who do we see walking down the road, but Angelo Fontes (owner Ed’s Bake Shop) recently moved here? We visited and got the grand tour of their new house. Angelo and Lucy love PEI.
City Hall Summerside
Stopped in Kensington for lunch at the Rock Island Pub
beside the old train station or maybe this was the old train station. Down the road someone was selling used
lobster traps $5 each. They are now in
our truck!! One for John and one for us! In some bays were rows and rows of oyster
farms.

River
Stopped at Anne of Green Gables Historic Site & Info Centre but the
rains started so we didn’t check out the house and grounds. Drove along the Cavendish Nat’l Park and
stopped at one view point but the fog and rains were getting worse so we headed
back to the campsite.
Along Cavendish Beach
We had to do a dinner in Charlottetown so to the Lobster on the Wharf where
we had dinner 14 years ago. Very good
dinner and excellent waiter. We had a window
seat looking out on the bay but it was still pouring.
