Day 85 Travel from Cornwall, PEI over Confederation Bridge to Moncton, NB

Mon., Aug. 12

Drive Cornwall, PEI over Confederation Bridge to Moncton, NB

A half hour drive and we are crossing the Confederation Bridge out of PEI.  It cost us $59 to leave the province.  Nice drive across the Northumberland Strait 13 km on one of the longest bridges in the world.  PEI has square Red Lights on their traffic lights.  Just before the bridge is a large McCain’s Factory, made in Canada.
Just after arriving in New Brunswick we passed a dump truck full of potatoes.  Something I expected to see in PEI.  Got set up in the campsite and checked for high tide.  Drove down to Bore Park on the Petticodiac River.  At 2:15 pm we saw a wave coming up the river.  It was only about a foot or so high but it was impressive and as it rolled by the water kept coming and in half an hour to an hour the water lever had risen a couple feet.

Tidal Bore just coming up the river
