Day 67 Travel St. Andrews to Grand Falls-Windsor, NL

July 25

St. Andrews to Grand Falls-Windsor, NL

Woke up to rain and fog!  Last night we walked home from the Club and it was beautiful after midnight.  All the way to Corner Brook it was raining, heavy at time and the fog was very dense in places.  Road construction around Corner Brook to widen the highway.  Near Deer Lake all new highways, nice for driving, smooth.

We got the last two available sites at Sanger Memorial RV Park.  After dinner we walked the trail leading to the Exploits River, the longest river in Newfoundland.  A new park was being constructed with sidewalks, boat docks, boat launch and a large gazebo to hold an event.  Too bad Kitimat doesn’t have anything like this.  We followed the trail for about 1/2 hour to a lookout above the river where there were some fishermen and small rapids.
